What is happening nationally in the care sector?

I have applied to a college for an HNC in Social Care and I need to comment on what is happening in the care sector nationally and the way ahead as I see it? Could anyone give me any pointers? I need to have this completed by 3 June 2011. Thank you, Sylvia
