When is fathers day in America?

Keep hearing everywhere that fathers day has already been when reading off American sites a d stuff. In Australia it's not until the first Sunday in September! Mothers day is the first Sunday in may. Maybe you guys have it opposite to us because of the seasons? As in mothers day in autumn and fathers day in spring equates to different months than us?
