Criticism on Sylvia Plath?

Do you believe Sylvia Plath was looking for sympathy throughout her writing? In my opinion, she wasn't because of the general tone of her writing, and how she isn't looking for help. also because of her obvious passion towards 'death'. If you can, provide evidence! thanks!
